Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try a scuba dive our PADI Discover Scuba Dives based in Bristol will let you experience scuba diving to see what it’s all about. During your Discover Scuba Diving experience you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a fun, safe and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.
There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to – after all, human beings haven’t evolved to do that – but after a few minutes of awestruck wonder, you realise how easy scuba diving really is. We introduce basic skills, as well as playing some simple games in the pool to give you a great feel for the underwater world.
The biggest challenge instructors have with the Discover Scuba Diving program is not coaxing you into the water, but coaxing you out when the dive is over!
Starting from the comfort of your own home, complete the PADI Discover Scuba Dive eLearning and digital forms as a great introduction to scuba diving. You then join us at the pool for your dive. This includes a briefing to cover the basic safety procedures and scuba hand signals, as well as showing you the scuba gear you’re going to use on your dive. We then move onto the pool side, with time to get changed, before we help you into your dive kit in shallow water. In the water you learn the basics you need to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. The first thing you’ll learn is that you really can breathe underwater! You will also: Plus, you can get credit for the dive - If you continue into the PADI Open Water Diver course we can give credit for the skills you’ve already covered during your first dive, and we even credit your Discover Scuba Dive cost against the Open Water Diver course! This means your first dive is free when you sign up for the full course with us following your Discover Scuba Dive.
