Tec 50 and Tec 50 Trimix

Tec 50 Diver Course

Your Tec 50 Diver course will further develop your skills and mindset as a technical diver. You will complete decompression dives as deep as 50m and you will also learn to carry multiple stage cylinders, allowing you greater flexibility with the decompression gasses you select.

What will you learn?

As a Tec 50 diver, you’ll have the knowledge and skills to make extended range dives to a maximum of 50 metres You’ll know how to make dives with multiple decompression stops using two decompression gases. It's not easy to reach this level. Earning your Tec 50 certification opens the door to deeper diving expeditions. There is also an option for divers to earn a Tec 50 Trimix Diver certification.

During the course you will work as a team with your fellow students to plan and execute decompression dives, including using desk top decompression planning software. Whilst in the water you will need to work closely with your team members, assisting each other but always remaining confident that you could deal with any emergency alone if the need arises. You will leave the course confident that you can plan and execute decompression dives independently, using Nitrox and oxygen as decompression gasses, and trimix with up to 40% helium for those taking the Tec 50 Trimix Diver course.

Where is the course held?
